I'm sure lots of you have heard about polo before. But not just Ralph Lauren kind of polo, the sport. I am also pretty sure, however, that most of you are not very sure of what this sophisticated sport consists of. "Polo is a team sport played on horseback in which the objective is to score goals against an opposing team. Players score by driving a small white plastic or wooden ball into the opposing team's goal using a long-handled mallet. The traditional sport of polo is played at speed on a large grass field up to 300 yards in length, and each polo team consists of four riders and their mounts." Let me put it in other words; it is very similar to playing soccer, only this time we have horses involved. Four players on every team, each one with their own horse, try to score a goal on between two tall separators. They hold a wooden stick with a somewhat small cylinder on the bottom, which they use to move a white plastic ball around and into the goal. That's kind of it, with a whole lot of complicated rules off course that I will later explain. It is actually pretty cool once you get the flow of it, I myself am a fan.
